Last year on my little blog I wrote a monthly update of all the goings on in my veg patch. Well this year I have been somewhat less enthusiastic! But will all the crazy weather I am pleased to say I think our little veg garden has done some great producing.
Look at these lovelies, never before have I managed such a bountiful crop, it is these little success that keep you going for another year despite the weather! As well as our veg plot in the garden we will also have plot at our village allotments, although there will be plenty of work I am really pleased. It has recaptured my enthusiasm and I hope to grow more staples with a plan to have to buy less.
So how has everyone else managed this year?
ohh how delicious...
ReplyDeleteLovely tomatoes :) We have loads too this year, thanks to the polytunnel, and cucumbers did well in there too. Sadly I don't like the varieties of toms we grew though...back to plum varieties next year, they were delicious. We live & learn! xx
ReplyDeleteOoh they look scrumptious! x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Those tomatoes look divine! We had no garden this year, as we closed on a house at the end of June. I'm hoping to get something going next year though.
ReplyDeleteOh those tomatoes look yummy.. SO proud your garden produced well for you..
ReplyDeleteWe too had such bad weather during our garden season... And then I had this bad bout with asthma and couldn't get in the garden,as normal.. However.. I still had a pretty good year.. Others picked vegetables for me, brought them to me, and I put them up..SO .. all in all a good season..
So the garden spot was cleaned up and broke up again.. and turnip and mustard greens are peeking thier heads up right now.. So..it won't be long until we will be picking and eating them.yummy!!
Oooh yummm! I grew some tomatoes in the garden this year but they got blight and went mushy :( Luckily my potatoes on the allotment are ok and are coming out of our ears, so it makes up for it:) xx
ReplyDeleteThey look so good. The allotment sounds great. All I managed this year was about 8 tomatoes! Didn't even get round to planting my usual basil and parsley or salad leaves!
ReplyDeletegorgeous!! how much better do homegrown taste vs supermarket? They make amazing pasta sauce too - enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThose are some luscious looking tomatoes :) enjoy your fabulous harvest!
