My first and essntial part of my autumn look will be the Laurel, with a lovely jersey, all on the sewing table as we speak.
The second offering is the same as last year. I still love it just as much and maybe I might even get round to making it up.
.
I have the most basic of knitting skills but I still dream of knitting my own cardigans, so I will also attempt this
To be honest this will be more than enough for me as dare I say it Christmas present making will have to start some time!!
Best wishes.. and look forward to seeing what you make.. I am just fixing to make a Laurel in tunic length.. Happy sewing.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I had the time to sew regularly enough to try and join in with a sew-along!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a jersey laurel and the second dress looks fab too. :) x
ReplyDeleteLooks like you will have some nice additions to your wardrobe this autumn!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's right, Christmas is just around the corner—for those of us who make handmade gifts! You're smart to spend some time knitting for yourself, too, and I am absolutely in love with the pattern from Garn Studio you chose to work on. You'll have to find a nice flowing shirt to wear underneath of it, though.
ReplyDeleteI really encourage you to GO FOR IT! with the knitting - this time last year I didn't think I could knit anything beyond a dishcloth and since then I have outfitted my 3 daughter's wardrobes with cardigans and dresses! It's hard to stop once you get going and you improve very quickly. P.S. Youtube is a fantastic resource for knitting techniques ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement, just a little more time and motivation would be good too!
